Sup guys!

I drive a 09 b16 automatic Sentra, and I want to know what good mods I can add to it. I do everything myself unless it really need to be done by a experienced mechanic.

The mods I have done
10k LED lights( fog and head)
Double din headunit
2 12inch subwoofers
took off my hubcaps and painted the bare rim black
Interior Led color changing lights

* I recently crashed my car a bit and I ordered a fender and a rear view mirror off of carid to replace them. They come unpainted to I’m thinking on wrapping my car. Maybe red or white haven’t decided jaja*

Things I want to do
Tint windows
Get decent rims
I want to make my car sound nice when it drives since it’s too quite but I don’t know what exactly fits.
I also want to drop my car a bit but I don’t know if lowered springs are the way to go or getting coilovers(which are a little expensive from what I’ve heard)

It’s mostly stock as you can see, I’ll update some pics on how it looks wrapped and tinted.

Cheers.

decent light rims are a good starting point
kosei makes nice light wheels that are 4 bolt and will fit your car

enkei, motegi and many others are also available
keep an eye on weight, lighter than stock wheels are better

you can also use stock ser and spec v wheels from the b15

with the mr20 motor, which is what you have i believe [not a spec or ser]
power mods should come last
but nice sound is available thru many different exhaust systems and cai's

tein, hk, hr all make quality lowering springs that can work with the stock struts and shocks
[if they are new or in great shape]

coilovers are better in adjust-ability, ride and performance.
at much higher prices and for a daily may not be required

sway bars and chassis reinforcement is also available

Barry pretty much summed it up. With minor cosmetics like little plasti-dip here and there and did the roof spoiler before anything, then I went with coilovers and the TWEED bars (very rare to find). Like mentioned, coilover's is an acquired taste... daily use can add a toll to both you and the car (I know this because my car is a daily on BC coils dampers set higher than normal for stiffening and reduce rubbing from my wheel setup. I also went on a chassis re-enforcement craze . I needed above all else balance in my chassis because for 3 yrs I rode stock and the body roll and swaying did me in to fixing that lol. I did my interior lighting afterwards wheels/tires then the HID retrofit. you can checkout my thread to get exacts.. heh

how big would you go on the rims size since stock is 16?

IMO, nothing bigger than an 18 really fits the small size of the car. I had 18*8.5 Enkei T6S on my B17 and they looked really good.

since i must buy a bunch of tires per year, to keep up with my shenanigans

i tend to favor smaller diameters due to cheaper tires
overall, i have found the 17" rim diameter has the greatest choice of tires at the least expensive prices

a 17x8 rim allows a choice of 225 to 245 series tires,
a broad enough variety, to cover from stock hp well into the 300's

to me
18x8.5s will look and handle better than 17x8s [on a b16]
and if your not changing tires every 3 or 4 months

could be a better choice
depending on your tastes

i'm unfamiliar with the body parts but i believe many are a straight swap

spec v, wheels, seats and strut bar transfer easily

Most chassis parts, like roll cage, sway bars, coilovers

even lca bushings,

wheels and BBK
ImageDSCN0551 (2) by Barry Belgard, on Flickr

after market seats too
Image20170626_111203 by Barry Belgard, on Flickr

there are very few power parts for the 1.8's
but cosmetic, handling and stance parts are abundant

some sites have more 1.8 users
who have produced some gorgeous 1.8s
even a few auto-x cars
