Coilover's are generally way more stiff than lowering springs. You can adjust the dampers and can improve a softer rebound if you're worried about comfort. Also, depending on the company you decide to go with check out the specs of the spring rate for a softer set to improve ride comfort... Usually, those who go with coilovers generally want more performance out of their suspension than ride quality/comfort. So, take into account lower spring rates = softer more comfortable ride quality and higher spring rates = stiffer more performance oriented/less comfort. Too much spring rate will also cause loss of traction so, too stiff is not all that good and too soft will create more body roll so study your car and figure out what you want.
