B16AVIS / SER SPECV 07 / MTL QC CA *UPDATES 7/9/2010*

Hey, im Desi.
this is my build
(sloth speed engaged)

Image
Image

Il keep this page posted on every new update and piece i put in.

Just a couple of pictures from when i painted my calipers, the cap on the tires and license plate cover.
Image
Image
 not much...
But we all start somewhere.

So just put in new lights!
Made her eyes nice and bright.
I got them off ebay from HERE and HERE!
Image
Image
It was much harder then i thought it would be.
Considering theres a lot of pieces you need to take out to get behind the light.
The left side was really easy, just simply pull back the clip and then push down on the tab.
Image
Now the right side was little harder, because it involves taking out the stock air intake.
the top plastic parts simple pop out, no clips like this.
Image
The air intake clips into the frame with the usual nissan plastic clips.
simple to pop out and remove the air intake.
Image
Then remove the smaller tube that simply slides out, and expose the headlight plug.
Image
This is were it gets a lot trickier...
First you need to open the bottom to get at the fog lights.
Take out all the plastic clips that protects the bottom of the engine bay.
The right side is very simple and looks like this:
Image
now i didnt take a picture before closing it up, cause im an idiot.
but the right side is MUCH harder to do, only because
(im not sure what its for but) theres a white container almost complelty in the way.
its still posible to get under around it, but you need to watch out you dont bang up your new bulbs trying to put them in.
so at the end of 1h or 2.
it comes out looking like this!
Image

 Really happy about this!
Tell me what you guys think!

Got some Night shots:
Image
Image

PS: my header just got here, as im writing!

Just like that!
ordered my header from HERE
And they look, THIS GOOD:
Image
gonna wait till my brother get home so he can help me instale them.
my mods are starting to come together!
gonna be a good time!

Il keep this page posted on every new update and piece i put in.

Just finished everything up!
and it really sounds great!
Image
this is what the stock header looks like,
Its a 4-2-1 pipe with the the 2 cats attached in the middle.
Image
Image
Heres just a quick video of my new lights and header,
dont mind my driving glasses 8) i know they look good. :P

Going cold turkey on car mods for a while guys,
once spring comes around im going for CAI and Springs.
but until then i can only wait for me new Christmas present:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/EIBACH-P ... ccessories

Just finished my decal
looks something like this.
Image
Image

Did some paint work while the cars gonna be sitting around for a while.

Taking the clips off are a PAIN IN THE ASS.
but now that i know how it comes off its really not bad at all...
Image
Image
Image
Blacked out the grill... i think it looks SWEET with the chrome.

Dinner and paint.
Image
Image
Awwwww yahh.....
Image

I did some more painting while i wait for my springs to arrive by UPS. 8-)
i love the way the painted engine covers looked but i wanted to make it a little personal.
Image
Image

I put everything back together.
PS dont try and start your car with the whole engine cover out... it doesnt work to well.
Image
and with the grill
all together it looks like this!
Image

I am currently having SOME problem with the headers. i have a SES light from the O2 sensor, under the car in the exhaust. its saying that the cats are not burning up to regulations.
it does not cause you to burn rich, or doesn't cause any problems.
just gives you the light.
im pretty sure that it can be fixed with a spacer.

BUT TO MORE IMPORTANT ISSUES!
:woot: :woot: :woot: :woot: :woot:
I checked them all out, and they are all legit!

Image
Image

Just got some new stopping power.
The old ones are squeaking like a school bus.

Image

Also picked up downpipe.

Image

SOME GOOD NEWS,
and some bad news.....

bad news is,
My baby hurt her foot, and she blew a tire.
i dont know if its bad to drive around like this.
If anyone could tell me that would be huge.
Image

good news is that i got her a little something.
(but apparently some people have been having trouble with it. might get my brother to do some extra spot welding.)

UPDATE 7/9/2010

LOL at stock.

Re: B16AVIS / SER SPECV 07 / MTL QC CA

I was just wondering how much of a difference the headers make. An did you have problems with the ses light. I want headers but the only thing stopping me is the ses light problem. did you usr the spacers an if so are they working for you.
K & N typhoon intake
M2 header.

Re: B16AVIS / SER SPECV 07 / MTL QC CA

The headers are a big difference in the low rpms. A lot more pep. But I drove it for 3 weeks before the ses light comes on. It's a very easy thing to do to fix. 5$ for the HELP! spark plug anti-foulers product code 44000. And it fixed it with no problems. Don't do what I did. Get the spacers before you put them in. Greeeaaat mod for the $$$$$
