I destroyed the timing components and skipped timing
like two days before the allsentra dragon run several years ago

everybody on here
thought i was pussying out
lol

i could tell no significant difference stock or light weight except for appearance

changing to the heavy wt dampener, smoothed out interior vibes
[not supposed to]

but other than that
noticed nothing

my dyno runs change hp run to run
stock, lite, or heavy seemed to make no difference

in my experience

however
the inspector at atl dragway
has one less excuse to kick me out

Yeah i guess most people that install this probably just get the placebo effect hahaha
but what do i know until i put it on :) but looks like a great part!

I think most people try to BS themselves that there was a gain from this mod (justifying the cost).

EDIT: I'm sure if you have all the pulleys replaced with lighter ones, delete the AC, a lightweight flywheel and that balance chain cut.. you would notice a difference. Replacing that single pulley won't do much IMO

You're right, it does look cool :D

my stock motor may have had nismo cams
it made 156whp

my na motor,
with b16 rotating components, JWT c1 cams, 3" side exhaust, race header , ite pully, chain cut and b16 plenum
made 174wp, untuned
max, uprev tune 187whp

none of the bolt ons
even all together , made much power

you can see the effect of parts coherence with the tune

as the softwhere [tune] improved
4 years later

same boltons
but updated uprev tune

over 200whp is now the norm for fully bolted, tuned b15s

conclusion
tune may be more important than boltons now
a free flowing exhaust ,a CAI, and a good tune may be all that is needed to reach my previous whp levels
imo

I just flashed my car with Uprev and jo’s tune. Car feels different within the rev range. Big difference once you tune it. Wish Forced induction was cheaper to do then i would have done it by now to get some real gains

and turbo's have been done so many times
no experimentation or 40 hours on the dyno

3 months from start to finis.
shortest project ever

bought built turbo 2jr short block added my cylinder head and joe installed and tuned the turbo

his turbo kit, didn't use treadstone

straight off the shelf parts
https://www.2j-racing.com/internal-part ... block.html
https://www.2j-racing.com/turbo/2jr-spe ... o-kit.html

easy and done

btw
this is the 5th engine in the car
is 3 years old.
a record for my race engines

and has lasted almost as long as the stocker [4 years]
i bought the car new in 2004

i do tune it several times per year

I wont turbo until i get a new daily then the sentra will be a straight up project car. Depending on where im at, at that point.

One of my first cars was a 1997 purple Ford Escort, it's replacement a 2000 silver Ford ZX2, I had purple as my accent color.

True story... but then I switch to black eventually :P

just for kicks and giggles
i'd like to share some sway bar tips and squiggles

among the b15 girls and boys
there are many that auto-x their toys

the newest fad
is to disconnrct one side to shorten turn in, bad

this fad has made me somewhat sad
for i thought my strutbar and 1"swaybar made me bad

for sans swaybar and strut brace too
is what they do

joe and rick and now shanover too
what am i to do

a mighty fund was spent
on fender bracing, nismo swaybars and poly endlinks and so it went

but, soft, sticks, and stiff is bent
my chassis has to joe's, been sent

seriously
i see the short track people moving more to neutral steer

no, [or one side disconnected for the event] sway bar
some even remove the strut bar as well

i tried removing the strut bar
felt more loosey goosey at over 100
but better bite, mid turn and exit

i'm in a different speed range for track work
and i actually tightened the endlinks down, for greater high speed stability
[maybe ,newbies mistake]

for triple digit work i prefer a little understeer

anybody here try this?
